Palmitoyl Oligopeptide (also called palmitoyl pentapeptide, Dermaxyl, or Matrixyl) is a synthetic amino-peptide that boosts collagen, elastin, and glucosaminoglycans production.
It is clinically verified to decrease wrinkle depth by improving hyaluronic acid and collagen production. In a way, PO is a lab-engineered predecessor to collagen. It was designed to function similarly to retinoic acid but without side effects.
